Structured Day Program

Structured Day offers services to youth that have been short-term suspended from school within Wake County. Youth attend the program for the duration of their suspension. Youth are held accountable for his/her behavior in school leading to the suspension.

Tutoring and assistance are provided in order for youth to stay current with school assignments. Youth will also receive life/social skills training to address behavior problems in school in order to prevent delinquent behavior and to maintain the youth’s motivation and positive expectations.

The program is available to youth in grades 6-9 who have been short-term suspended (3-10 days) from school; referrals are received from school personnel, juvenile court and parents.  The participant may be mandated by the court or voluntarily agree to participate in the program after consultation with their parent/guardian and school principal or court counselors.
