Summary
Provide programmatic leadership in the management and operations of the School Based Diversion Program.
Position duties and responsibilities:
Provides oversight of referrals, including screening, admission and discharge processes
Oversees the implementation of the program design, to include adherence with relevant policies and procedures and identified best practices.
Obtains all consents and releases of information required for school system, Alliance and community partners
Monitors and tracks youth progress, ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept informed as appropriate and in accordance with program policy
Links youth to necessary services and supports, acting as a liaison between youth and all involved service providers and stakeholders; ensures connections are successful
Provides system of care focused support
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders from the systems that impact our youth, to include, but not limited to school resource officers, juvenile court, and regulatory agencies; maintains knowledge of community resources for youth and families
Facilitates presentations and trainings pertaining to the program in partnership with Wake County Schools and Alliance. Attends school-based mental health collaboratives and partners with the Alliance Health School-Based Team
Completes paperwork to have youth’s record expunged
Provides crisis prevention and response through safety planning and 24/7 support through on call rotation
Works with Director in monitoring performance and quality improvement initiatives
Works with Director by participating in required annual review and reports in collaboration with Alliance School-Based Team
Complies with all record management requirements 
General agency duties and responsibilities:
Completes all required trainings
Participates in agency outreach and fundraising events
Demonstrates a willingness to assist in other agency programs as needed
Acts as a custodian and demonstrates responsible and ethical use of agency property and facilities
Displays sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Strives to embody the agency’s Code of Ethics while working towards the agency’s Mission
Learns and demonstrates Agency-wide Competencies including the areas of consumer and community relationships, continuous individual and agency-wide improvement, vision and purpose, respect and teamwork and positive leadership
Learns, develops, and models Positive Youth Development core competencies resulting in capacity to contribute to the mission of Haven House Services and be a resource to our youth and families, other partner organizations, and our community
Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from an accredited institution
Preferred two years of related experience and/or training with target population
Combination of education and experience that meets position requirements will be considered
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Must demonstrate strong clinical counseling and assessment skills, and experience with clinical documentation and file management.  Demonstrating knowledge of the NC Juvenile Justice System, and local community resources. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Other requirements: Valid North Carolina Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record Personal vehicle for use in conducting home visits and/or transporting clients in the event agency vehicles aren’t available Proof of current/valid car insurance Acceptable background report Negative drug screen results
Work environment: Evening and weekend hours required as needed Culture of care and wellness in the office Potential exposure to bloodborne and/or airborne pathogens
