Wrenn House Challenge

Support Wrenn House and youth in our community facing homelessness and/or crisis.

We have received a generous challenge grant from 4 Others Foundation that will match all donations to Wrenn House this Spring up to $20,000. That means your donation will instantly be multiplied! Check out a few examples of how your gift could help a youth right here in our community find the help they need at Wrenn House.

Will you make a donation today to help secure this challenge grant?

Wrenn House is the only  homeless, runaway and crisis intervention program and shelter for youth in the Triangle. Wrenn House is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for youth ages 10-17 who run away from home, are homeless, or are otherwise in a crisis situation, providing them with a safe, legal, and responsible environment.

For the past 40 years, Wrenn House has provided youth in need with a diverse range of services including: temporary shelter, counseling, case management, referrals, and a variety of life skills. Learn more about Wrenn House on our program page and check out a virtual tour of Wrenn House below!

Your gift is supporting youth like Evan.

When Evan was young, his father died. During his teenage years, his relationship with his mother and family became difficult and complicated. At 17, he ran away. After sleeping outside for a few days, Evan told a caring adult about his situation and eventually came to Haven House Services’ Wrenn House shelter.

Evan stayed at Wrenn House for several weeks while staff helped him to set goals for his future and worked with him and his mother to figure out a safe and stable housing plan. During his stay at Wrenn House, Evan became more confident. Eventually, he enrolled in a residential job training program and plans to return home upon completion. He says he is thankful every day for the help he found at Wrenn House.
