What we do

Mission Support Services

While not stand-alone programs, we offer several services to provide essential support to help youth and families meet everyday needs while they are enrolled in Haven House programs. By addressing basics like food, clothing, and access to care we aim to remove barriers that can make it harder for youth to focus on school, work, and personal goals.

Essentials Pantry

Essentials Pantry

The Essentials Pantry offers food and household basics to youth and families in our programs. Reliable access to these items helps reduce stress and supports daily health and well-being.

Items include shelf-stable and fresh food, hygiene products, and household essentials. We want to be able to meet a youth/family’s immediate need as we work to connect them to long-term community resources.

Resource Closet

Many of the youth arriving at Wrenn House lack basic essentials. We want youth to feel good about themselves and build confidence, so providing them with items that allow them to fit in with their peers is critical.

The Resource Closet, located at Wrenn House, stocks socks & underwear, casual teen-friendly clothing, coats, shoes, as well as personal care products and other basic needs items.

Social Determinants of Health Support

Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) are the conditions that shape a person’s daily life, such as housing, healthcare, transportation, food access, and employment and that have a major impact on people’s short- and long-term health, well-being, and quality of life.

Our SDOH Coordinator works with all the youth and families we serve to identify needs, reduce barriers, and connect them to community resources and services.

Dental, Health, and Vision Clinics

Haven House partners with community providers to offer access to dental, health, and vision care for youth in our programs. These services help address healthcare needs that are often difficult to meet due to cost or limited access. Helping youth meet their dental, health and vision needs is a big part of how we address the social determinants of health needs of youth in our programs.
