Darnell joined Haven House Services in 2021 and became the Program Director for Wrenn House in 2025. In this role, he oversees all day to day operations, full and part time staff, the Safe Place program, and regulatory compliance. Before joining Haven House, Darnell was a Coordinator at Strategic Behavioral Health Center in Garner.

Darnell has a Bachelors from Wesleyan College and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College.
Outside of Haven House, Darnell likes to play pickleball, go running, and spend time with family and friends. Darnell is a pescatarian – and his favorite food is salmon! He looks forward to someday taking his dream trip and traveling to Bora Bora.
