Michelle has been Chief Executive Officer of Haven House Services since September 2009. In this role she directs, coordinates, and manages all operational and fiscal aspects of Haven House Services. Previous to this she was the Director of Quality Management and Program Development at The Durham Center, a mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities management agency. In this role she worked with agencies to implement best and evidence-based practices. She has experience working in both the mental health and the criminal justice fields for over 20 years. Michelle is currently a board member of the North Carolina’s Association for Community Alternatives for Youth. She also served as a board member and treasurer for the Covenant with North Carolina’s Children (now NC Child). She worked as the North Carolina Juvenile Justice Specialist for several years and was appointed by the governor for 4 terms on the North Carolina Juvenile Justice State Advisory Group. Michelle has a BA in Psychology from the University of Buffalo and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
