Response to COVID-19, January 2022: The safety of our staff, clients, and volunteers is a priority for us. Therefore, we are currently not using volunteers on-site at our offices or in our shelter to reduce risks of exposure to the virus. As volunteer needs arise, we are engaging some volunteers virtually or remotely. We will continue to evaluate our volunteer needs in light of the continuing health crisis and will post an update here when we determine it is safe to resume on-site volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer hours are primarily available weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm with occasional opportunities for special events. Opportunities include:
- General office assistance
- Organizing clothes and donations for our youth and families in need
- Assistance with fundraising and special events
- Facilities maintenance, including yard work and general handyman tasks
- Team member for Annual Campaign
- Committee work
Let us know your individual interests and skill by submitting our individual volunteer online interest form. Our Volunteer coordinator will contact you within 3-5 business days.
Note: At this time, we are unable to provide volunteer opportunities for individuals under the age of 18 or court-ordered community service opportunities for individuals over 18.
If you have a group that is interested in volunteering with Haven House Services, we would love to help you plan a project that matches the skills and interests of your group and our current needs. Past projects have included facilities maintenance such as cleaning, landscaping, or painting; creating handmade valentines or small gifts for our donors; and organizing donations. We can typically accommodate groups up to 20 in size.

In-kind donations are a great way to support Haven House and the youth and families with whom we work. Donations might be used in our programs or go directly to youth or families in need. Contact Libby Stephens, Volunteer Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for a list of our most needed items or for other information to help you organize a donation drive at your work or with your civic group or faith-based community.
