Haven House Services is a private, non-profit agency that serves the needs of young people in difficult situations - from homelessness to running away to family, school or life problems.
Founded in 1973, we are governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of local citizens dedicated to helping youth and their families.
Using a multi-faceted approach, our agency uniquely provides a wide-range of interrelated programs that address the many challenges faced by today's young people and their families. These programs include:
Haven House Service's array of programs has helped thousands of young people and their families overcome problems and become productive members of the community.
In addition to our comprehensive approach, Haven House Services has several other distinguishing factors. A few of these include: offering the only shelter for runaway and homeless youth in Wake County; conducting the only homeless youth street outreach program in North Carolina; overseeing the longest running family preservation program in the state; and employing bilingual staff to assist with our programs.
Haven House Services is funded through grants and service agreements with city, county, state, and federal agencies, and by the generous support of the Triangle United Way and valuable tax deductible contributions from members of the community.
Supporting Haven House Services - financially and/or through volunteering - can make a positive, life-changing impact on the lives of many young people. To find out more, email or call us at (919) 833-3312.
